Shanley Horvitz

American soprano recently made debuts with the Wagner Society of New York in a concert performing Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, and with Opera San Jose as Meg Page Falstaff. She has had success in competitions winning first prizes in the Czech and Slovak Competition, International Orpheus Competition, Mario Lanza Institute Competition, and the Houston Gilbert & Sullivan Competition. Other recent debuts include Anacoana Cristoforo Colombo (Teatro Grattacielo) and in Carmen at Carnegie Hall. Originally from New Jersey, she is a distinguished graduate of Westminster Choir College and most recently appeared as La GranVestale La Vestale.
